It was nice to see you doing so well, and with that good, fatalistic humor. Virginia, of course, enjoyed your time with us. As for going back home, I have felt for some time that I have outgrown our little burg. I don't pine for the old days, as my old days were pretty crummy. The Westside, my own town withing Kansas City, is my home now. I have little interest in anything outside the neighborhood. I can still stand Midtown, but I have no place on the Plaza or in the City Market. The rest of the town is foreign to me. And the Westside is changing rapidly. If we ever move out of our house, it will be a move all the way out of Kansas City. I don't think I would ever come back, and I would certainly never look back.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17982577928984043330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8720309854271094186.post-89639868757723142552016-09-24T07:06:50.866-07:002016-09-24T07:06:50.866-07:00Hola Chris - while I envy you eating at Winstead&#...Hola Chris - while I envy you eating at Winstead's...ahhhh yes, the good and the bad, the baggage, of "home". While writing that I realized home isn't there, hasn't been for many, many years. Yes I grew up there however now most of my memories are of elsewhere. I've not been back to KC since Nov. of 1992 and doubt I go again, even though I have a sister and brother-in-law that likely will never leave there. It's lovely you were able to see so many family members. Difficult in this day and age when everyone is busy with their own lives. And breakfast at Winnie's? I didn't even know they serve it. I'm a double cheeseburger, fries, and cherry limeade girl. Concerning the beautiful nude sculptures in the fountains, I think I get your drift as Kansas City is part of the Bible Belt.

DeeDee Tillotsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01602508098099644096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8720309854271094186.post-2584051113836049572016-09-23T09:11:05.420-07:002016-09-23T09:11:05.420-07:00The term "Customer Service" seems to hav...The term "Customer Service" seems to have gone by the wayside...
Maybe cops should pass an annual fitness test?!Peter Kouwenhovenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10197113786491782884noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8720309854271094186.post-59469685372688136572016-09-23T00:15:25.847-07:002016-09-23T00:15:25.847-07:00SO glad I can't see his front side!
