It's Raining Everyday Now - Plus a Video

living.boondockingmexico@yahoo.com

Definitely, a lazy weekend although there is always something to do.  This is a payday weekend so the town was really bustling Saturday morning.  People were out shopping and eating and tourists arrived on buses.  I had forgotten that Robin and Steve had been to Pátzcuaro.  They took a tour of Santa Clara del Cobre when they were here.

One meal a week out is the rule so we had a destination in mind.  We had scoped out this restaurant for three weeks vowing that after losing a few pounds we deserved a treat.  The restaurant, Tzitziki Urapiti, has the best aromas pouring out of the windows as we pass by.   Off we went and in the car, we joked about the place not being open because it was the first of the month, they take off for the U.S. during the summer months, or they were remodeling.  We pulled up across the street and the windows and door were open.  Yes!, a great meal is on its way.   As we approached the door we knew something was wrong.  They had decided to take this weekend to dig up the floor to lay new pipe.  What!!!!!  Too funny!

I made a video, a bit shaky holding the Canon and opening doors and gates, of the horses in the morning.  If you didn't see it on FaceBook here it is for your viewing pleasure.

  2. Yep, perhaps our favorite city in Mexico....if we had to choose just one. loved the market and plaza in Patz. Great day riding around the entire lake. Wonderful meals over looking Patz at the restaurant on Racho la Mesa. A few months after we were there we went in a shop in Colorado Springs that had lots of copper stuff that we had just seen at much lower prices. The owner was trying to sell us until we told him that we had just been in Santa Clara del Cobre.

    1. Steve, I would have loved to see the shop owners face when you told him you had been to Santa Clara del Cobre :) SLDS and big hugs to both of you.

    2. Actually we had a good laugh over it and shook hands. Guessing he was glad we didn't tell other shoppers about the factory price. We're in KY and will be in Indiana later today for 8 day Bluegrass festival.
