Our great site here at Holiday Park
We spent another lovely
evening at Colin and Contessa’s house.
Last night was pretty special though.
Colin prepared Copper River salmon on the grill for dinner. Contessa made a fantastic Cesar’s salad,
rice and asparagus to serve along with it.
We talked into the night out on the patio overlooking the lake. Colin setup a warm fire and we each had a
story to tell.
Colin is a well-known photographer, he is also an excellent chef.
Me doing what I like to do.
Juan enjoying the fire and one of the wiener dogs.
We don't have a lot of room to entertain, but they came by today to see our rv.
At the Mission Hills Winery
Yes, I am recovering
only to find out that Paula seems to have gotten the same malady. Still not sure what it is but I am almost
convinced it was the Canadian water J. Time goes fast here at Holiday
Park Resort. Everyone is friendly at
the pool and the Jacuzzi. They are all
interested in visiting Mexico with their rvs but don’t seem to know how to go
about it exactly.
Today, Colin took us on
a tour of Kelowna through the tourist area and then to the Mission Hills Winery
which sits on top of a hill overlooking the lake. Fantastic views and wonderful sculptures are
set throughout the winery. It was a
great afternoon as we looked at real estate around the lake. Lots of money here in Kelowna. We also dropped by the library to pick up
some books that Contessa had ordered on line previously.
Tonight we are calling
it an early evening after drinks and dinner so that we can prepare for our
departure tomorrow. We plan on heading
out for Cranbrook, BC at 8:30 a.m. This
is a what we call an all-day drive.
We hope to be there by 4 p.m. but
I am sure I will want to stop and take a nap.
Kevin and Ruth, here we
come!
We suffered together and recovered together; nice to have some company! :-) It looks like you had a wonderful day and have had great hospitality in Kelowna. It is such a lovely area. Enjoy the beautiful drive through BC and Alberta and your happy reunion with the Read family. You have a few extras this time to make it even more fun!
