An attempt at a video.  It's a learning process and I'm sure I'll get the hang of it.

  4. With your educational background your are a natural at video. You have posted photos of your house, but seeing the video brings it alive. I live just west of San Antonio, TX and I never want to see snow again. We only lost power for a few hours, but we could not leave our house for over a week due to snow because we live at the top of a hill with a long, winding driveway. We were fortunate to have water and food and electricity. Like you, I read Tioga George’s blog for years and cried with him over his son and his stopping his travels. He was a good person. I am rambling. Loved the video.

  5. Good grief - that was awesome. It really was fun! Thanks for brightening up my Wednesday (also sitting in my condo, bored) In regards to the moon shot, have you ever heard of the book "The Moon was the best" written byTana Hoban w/Charlotte Zolotow? Tana (photographer) took a trip to Paris and her daughter wanted her to remember the best parts. She is a gifted photographer so she made this book. My daughter went on a school trip to Paris in 1998 and I bought her this book because I missed her even before she left. The line is the book at the end was..'the moon was the best because it was the same moon shining on you, so I knew we weren't far apart at all.' So your video made us feel like we weren't far apart! Thanks......

    1. Hi Carol. If I remember correctly, you were parked next to us at the rv park in La Isla, a small travel trailer and two dogs, right? We wondered where you went :)

  7. I am so stodgy, I prefer the written word, but did watch your video with interest. It's nice to have a moving point of view sometimes. Have a good trip, and please don't stop writing completely.
