Oh, the good life, full of fun seems to be the ideal,It's the good life to be free and explore the unknown. That's living and boondocking in Mexico. Come on in!
This is just a rough draft of what our trip would be like for next year. We are thinking about four to five months. It is roughly 10,000 miles. In four months, as I said in an earlier post, that would be about 650 miles a week. I don't like to drive more than 250 a day so that would be about two "medium" driving days a week. That would give us a couple of days between at each stay. The driving would vary depending on where we want to go and where we want to stay.
Driving through west Texas would be a three day deal. A stop in Mission Bay in San Diego and then a few days in the Morro Bay area and San Francisco. Just an idea right now. In reality, it would be closer to five months total.
I've already begun to make a list of things that need to be done to the SUV as well as the rv. We will get new shocks and a new weight distribution hitch.
So you may be asking why we won't take more time? Here's the scoop. With my work in Texas, it is allowing me to beef up my social security account so that at 60 we can fully retire. We are kind of happy now being able to sock away money, work when we want, and still be able to travel. It's like workampers. Some people retire rich and some just retire. We want something in between.
Sounds like a plan to me.
I think you will need more than 4 months to be able to see all your Canadian friends on this trip! :)Ruthwww.travelwithkevinandruth.com
